Subsonic Chair Lets Gamers Feel Closer to Action

Love the low, thundering rumble that only comes from pumping bass through a big sub-woofer? Check out the Subsonic Chair, designed by Canada’s Greg Ball to incorporate gaming furniture and a bass-heavy sound system. The chair is basically composed of two 16-inch sub-woofers and two four-inch mid-range speakers. The sub-woofers are so large they act as the chair’s base, and the reclining backrest is made up of the mid-ranges. The chair can connect to an iPod, MP3 player or gaming system.

Feeling each bass note through 1,000 watts of power is bound to make gamers feel so much closer to the action, and music lovers will be able to truly feel their favorite songs. Ball said he envisioned a chair that would “feel like sitting on a rocket.
