What if you could decorate a cake or a batch of cookies with beautiful prints, in the same way you stamp an envelope? That’s the concept behind the Valek Rolling Pins, personalized rolling pins made with laser-cut engravings in almost any pattern you can imagine.
Designer and creator of the custom-engraved Valek Rolling Pins, Zuzia Kozerska, came up with the ingenious concept after spending one too many weekends in the kitchen decorating her cakes and pastries. She knew there had to be a more efficient way to do what she was doing, so she grabbed her laser engraver and got to work.
So it was decided! I would try making quality, good-looking, wooden rolling pins engraved with fun patterns!” Kozerska says on the Valek Rolling Pins Etsy shop page. “And so it all started with my niece’s birthday, she is absolutely nuts about cats! I knew without any hesitations what would be the first pattern I would make.”
Each rolling pin is handmade by Kozerska, using a beechwood rolling pin that she engraves and then treats with a protective oil. Patterns can be anything from fun prints like robots and mustaches, to customized names and other patterns customers can request, like stars and hearts.
The best part of the awesome rolling pins might not even be how unique and functional they are for everyone from the amateur baker to cake decorating pro. Kozerksa promises the experience of using one of her rolling pins to be memorable from the second you open the box — because half the fun is in just getting a gift. She’ll even throw in some baking tips for you, right in the packaging.
I put all my heart into every little detail of my products, from the triangular packaging and the experience opening the package (don’t we all love opening gifts?) to the cooking tips on the paper wrapping the delicious, homemade cookies, that come with every rolling pin.”
All the rolling pins sold by Valek Rolling Pins are sourced from Kozerska’s native Poland. Prices start at $55.80, and the pins can be shipped out worldwide.
