Staind Frontman Aaron Lewis Stops Live Concert To Yell At Crowd for Being Perverted Jerks (Video)
Mental Note: Aaron Lewis is the type of guy a girl wants to have around in a sticky situation.
The Staind lead singer made his feelings about guys acting like gentlemen crystal clear during a live concert in Kansas City this past weekend. While in the middle of belting out a mellow number, “When I'm Gone,” during Rockfest 2014, the 42-year-old dad of three girls abruptly stopped everything to verbally bash a group of men he felt were being extremely disgusting and inappropriate to a female crowd surfer.
“Alright, listen up you fucking assholes,” Lewis can be heard yelling into his mic in a video posted on YouTube.
That fucking girl right there is like 15 fucking years old, and you fucking pieces of shit are molesting her while she is on the fucking crowd. Your fucking mothers should be ashamed of themselves, you pieces of shit.”
Lewis ended his rant just as bluntly as he began it by cueing his band to continue the music, while the crowd applauded in response.
“Now girls, feel free to crowd surf safely,” Lewis said in one final aside before continuing the concert.
Lewis has previously said in interviews that he is very close to his family—which includes multiple women besides his three daughters, including his wife and two sisters—so, his explicit rant and concern for female safety should come as no surprise. Even so, kudos to you for looking out for women everywhere, Aaron Lewis!
