Hertz New Dream Service Lets You Rent A Lamborghini Or Aston Martin
Hertz’ new Dream Service gives drivers the ability to rent luxury cars on a day-to-day basis—with a hefty price tag, of course. Available at more than 35 US locations, the new service features cars such as a Lamborghini Gallardo, Aston Martin V8, Audi R8, Ferrari, Bentley, Porsche and Mercedes.
These high-performance vehicles can set you back in the thousands-range, but might be worth it if you can afford a few days of luxury without spending an entire salary on the actual car, or if you plan on having a special occasion.
Prices per day for some of these high-performance vehicles vary. Top tier vehicles, such as the Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bentley costs a whopping $1,500 per day, in addition to a $3 per mile fee over the 75-mile limit. The Aston Martin and Audi R8 are both $1,000 per day, also with a $3 per mile over-the-limit fee, while Porsche and Mercedes rides will set you back $350 per day, with $0.49 for each mile over the 75-mile limit.
The Dream Service aims to complement five-star luxury with quality assistance, offering pick-up and drop-off services.
“Additionally, the Dream Cars experience extends from special reservation channels to being greeted by a Hertz representative at the airport terminal, to a rental vehicle in pristine condition,” Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Mark P. Frissora, said in a statement last week announcing Hertz Dream Cars.
These types of programs are not uncommon for Hertz. In addition to its new Dream Service, it also has its Adrenaline Collection, boasting cars such as the Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger. It also has a Green Traveler Collection for the savvy conservationist, which includes a lineup of hybrid, electric, and clean diesel vehicles.
