Kid President Gives A Pep Talk, Encourages America To Be Awesome (Video)
Don’t we all need a good pep talk from time to time?
“I think we all need a pep talk,” begins the most recent video in a weekly series featuring Kid President, the “self-appointed voice” of the children’s generation. The 9-year-old from Tennessee began starring in the videos as a family joke, but soon they went viral and were uploaded to YouTube by Soul Pancake, the production company headed by “The Office’s” Rainn Wilson. The “pep talk” has garnered millions of views.
Boring is easy, everybody can be boring,” Kid President says in his pep talk. “But you’re gooder than that.”
The pint-sized motivator offers plenty of advice for kids and adults alike. As they say… from the mouths of babes.
If life is a game, aren’t we all on the same team?” he asks. “If we’re all on the same team, let’s start acting like it.”
And of course he offers plenty of humor.
Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the road less traveled, and it hurt, man! Really bad! Not cool Robert Frost!”
Kid President offers personal insight during his pep talk, as well. For instance:
What if Michael Jordan had quit when he didn’t make the team?” Kid President ponders. “He would have never made ‘Space Jam,’ and I love ‘Space Jam!’”
Not to mention: “It’s like that dude Journey said, ‘Don’t stop believing…’ Unless your dream is stupid. Then you should get a better dream.”
Kid President’s messages ring so true, it almost makes you want to see him in the White House someday. And who knows… maybe he’ll get there.
We were made to be awesome,” he says. “Let’s get out there… Create something that will make the world awesome… Play ball!”
