College co-eds across America are showing off their school spirit and their finest assets thanks to a trend that started last year at the University of Kansas. While the Jayhawks battled longtime rival Missouri Tigers, a Kansas fan identified only as Tiffany took a photo of her ample cleavage rising above a Jayhawks shirt and posted it to Twitter with the hashtag #kuboobs, hoping to “give a little boost” to her team.

On a Saturday afternoon in a sports cathedral known as Allen Fieldhouse our beloved Kansas Jayhawks were facing certain defeat from the evil Missouri Tigers in a final battle for supremacy,” the Web site KUboobs.com explains. “Thousands of Jayhawk faithful watched helplessly as the border ruffians from Missouri sought to pillage and disgrace our beautiful cathedral. Far above the Golden Valley glorious to view, one woman had enough. She channeled the power inherent in all true Jayhawk fans to resurrect the Jayhawks from a 19-point deficit to a stunning one-point victory! That power was KU Boobs.

The trend spread rapidly among Jayhawk ladies as they watched their team move to the NCAA’s Final Four. The @KUBoobs Twitter account is still going strong with 19,000 followers. The phenomenon also has a Facebook page boasting 11,528 “likes.”

The “boobment” has also spread to other colleges, universities and professional sports teams across the country, including Jayhawk enemy Mizzou, which boasts more than 7,000 followers on its @MizzourBoobs1 account.

In a matter of hours, schools with similar accounts were being re-tweeted (Florida’s @UF_Boobs) and more were being created, like Alabama (@bamaboobs), Auburn (@wardamnboobies), Arkansas (@arkboobs) and Vanderbilt (@vandyboobs),” the Kansas City Star reported.

It’s bound to happen… Soon Jayhawk and Tiger boob-offs will likely usurp the rival teams’ legendary basketball and football face-offs. Who do you think will win?
