Pizza Hut announced it sold $1 million in pizza in just four months via its online delivery app on the Xbox 360, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

The app launched in April 2013 and Pizza Hut reached the $1 million milestone by August. Sales through the app have remained steady since then.

Unsurprisingly, more orders are placed on weekends. What may come as a shock is that 11 percent of people ordering via the app were ordering from Pizza Hut’s online services for the first time.

It’s been a source of unbelievable growth for us,” Doug Terfehr, director of public relations for Pizza Hut, said in an interview with Polygon. “Just the explosion of people who wanted to download it, experiment with it, play with it with Kinect. As soon as we did one, everyone was contacting us to do the next [one].”

Despite the huge and continued success of the app, Pizza Hut isn’t announcing what’s next. When asked if the company plans to offer apps on other gaming consoles like PlayStation or Nintendo consoles, a representative simply said, “Conversations continue to be ongoing with us. Wherever you are, we want to be.”

However, Terfehr did tell Polygon, “When you talk about a sweet spot for the pizza category it’s definitely gamers and gaming. We’re not done in that space.”

For now, Pizza Hut is focusing on improving mobile apps on iOS and Android platforms.
