NBA Celebrates 1 Billion YouTube View With Video Mashup

Remember seeing LeBron James and Shaq’s All-Star dance-off on YouTube? What about Brian Scalabrine explaining his “White Mamba” nickname or Dwight Howard yelling with his mouth full? These, and a host of other class NBA YouTube shorts, have been combined into a video mashup commemorating the professional basketball league’s one billionth view on its official YouTube channel.

Since the NBA became the first sports league to launch its very own channel on YouTube in 2007, basketball and the Internet have become a match made in heaven. The new video includes two minutes of 46 seconds of some of the wildest moments and big personalities, as well as an assortment of slam dunks, trick shots and memorable highlights.
