Apple Teases It’s Black Friday Sale

Apple rarely runs sales, but Black Friday is traditionally the exception to that rule. This year will be no different, as Apple recently emailed customers to announce its one-day shopping event to be held Nov. 23. Although it has not outlined specific items or discounts to be included in the event, the discounts are historically 10 to 15 percent—small figures that can add up to large savings when dealing with high-dollar electronics. According to Apple’s Web site, the sale will begin online at midnight PST, although Apple stores will also run specials and be open extended hours for the shopping event. Items purchased from Apple’s Web site on Black Friday will receive free shipping in the United States, although the discounts will be available to international customers, as well. The iPhone is not expected to be on sale.
