Coffee Mug Adaptation Holds Your Spoon
A lot of hot drinks require stirring. But some, like coffee or tea with condensed milk—served most often in areas of Southeast Asia—require constant stirring as they are sipped. And there’s nothing worse than bringing a mug to your mouth and poking yourself in the eye with the spoon. Except maybe placing the spoon on a nearby surface when you don’t have a napkin or saucer and getting only-God-knows what kind of microscopic crud on it.
So why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? Lee Hae Seung Scott devised the NOTA coffee mug with two teeth inside the rim to stash your spoon as you drink. No more poked eyes, no more dirty spoons and no more coffee stains on the desk. Other than that, the mug is just your ordinary white coffee cup. But just one brilliant little adaptation makes it priceless.
Don’t go rushing out to your nearest Mugs R Us store just yet, however. Right now it looks as if the cups is still in prototype phase and isn’t yet available for purchase.
