PostModern Jukebox musician Scott Bradlee wrote in a blog post that after seeing Cyrus’ VMAs performance, “I felt it was only natural to offer a classier, twerk-free alternative to her hit, ‘We Can’t Stop.'”

Postmodern Jukebox is a doo-wop group that takes the 1950s music style and applies it to modern day hits. In its latest video, the group takes Miley Cyrus’ latest “hit” song “We Can’t Stop” and turns it into something actually worth listening to, repeatedly. Although the image of Miley Cyrus’s bony, scantily-clad body twerking and sticking out her tongue like a 20-year-old demon lady is still burned into my retinas, this song helps ease the trauma.
