Floyd “Money” Mayweather is about to add a helluva lot more money to his bank account. The 44-0 boxer will net a cool $41.5 million bones to get in the ring with “El Canelo” Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán in Las Vegas, proving that he doesn’t have to fight Manny Pacquiao to retain his status as the world’s most highly-compensated athlete. El Canelo is no slouch: the 42-0-1 Mexican redhead (Canelo means “cinnamon” in Spanish) is 23 years old and has 30 professional knockouts. When these two meet in the ring on September 14th, Canelo will be a heavy +250 underdog, so in all likelihood Mayweather will go 45-0 after this bout. If you want to watch this Pay Per View fight, you’re going to have to fork over some dough. The fight will cost $74.95 if you want to see the two pugilists in HD.
