It’s something all of us Rec-League players have to worry about when we go up for one of our many two-handed slam dunks—the worry of the backboard giving way and crumbling on top of us. This is exactly what happened to Harlem Globetrotter William Bullard during a game in Honduras.

After slamming the ball, Bullard tried hanging from the rim and putting his feet up on the backboard but the whole unit collapsed and nearly fell right on top of the ‘Trotter. Luckily he suffered only a cut to his forehead, which surely doesn’t compare to the lifetime of emotional scars that the Washington Generals players have had to endure.
