Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant And Dwight Howard Feast On Your Tears
The NBA is pretty big in China. The only two Chinese nationals to recently play in the NBA are Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian. Ming retired during the 2010-11 season, and Jianlian has been an average player at best. So, the Chinese need to root for a current star- apparently the Chinese go absolutely nuts for Kobe Bryant. Bryant spends time every offseason doing tours and exhibition games in China, where he is loved and adored. They must not know about all the trouble he got in Colorado a few years back, but that’s neither here nor there.
Anyway, Kobe was in China a few days ago, and predictably, the Chinese went apeshit. This Kobe fan reacted to the Mamba’s presence like a teenage girl who just caught a glimpse of Bieber.
The translation, via nanfang.com: “After seeing Kobe I was overcome with excitement. I couldn’t stop crying. I kept crying.”
Appearing at a youth basketball camp, Kevin Durant crushed the dreams of some campers who thought they could score on the Durantula.
Jesus, does he really need the hype man on the microphone shouting at the kids? Oh well, it’s entertaining as all hell. “Get that shit out of here!”
Dwight Howard has been a punching bag in the media this off-season, even getting roasted at the ESPYs over his terrible season with the Lakers. A Twitter user tried to kick DH12 while he was down, but found herself taken down a few dozen notches.
