Reddit user Tcordolino was 24 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to her son. Four months premature, he weighed just 1.5 pounds.

She and her husband weren’t even allowed to hold the fragile baby until a week after he was born. Even then, his entire hand was the size of a single fingernail.

The couple was able to take him home after he spent more than four months in the neonatal ICU. By then, he weighed a healthy 8 lbs 5 oz. Just a day after he arrived him, his big sister was already fawning over him.

Now the adorable infant is doing fine at home with his family.
