Love the smell of a freshly-delivered pizza? Pizza Hut has captured that freshly-baked, hand-tossed smell in a bottle of perfume. No, it’s not a joke, even if it started out that way. Pizza Hut Canada’s marketing firm, Grip Ltd. posted a question on its Facebook page asking fans what they would call a perfume that captured the aroma of a Pizza Hut Pizza. When it got literally thousands of responses, the company decided to take the idea to the next level.

Pizza Hut Canada contacted a perfumery to create a fragrance that smelled like its fresh-baked bread. The company says the spray is designed as a room fragrance, and each bottle features the red Pizza Hut logo.

“The limited-edition perfume was designed to commemorate Pizza Hut Canada reaching 100,000 Facebook fans,” the company said. “Only 110 bottles were produced and shared with lucky Facebook fans who won a bottle by being among the first to share their desire for Pizza Hut perfume.”

Since the perfume has garnered so much attention, Pizza Hut Canada has decided to produce another batch of bottles, but it still has no intention to market the product.
