Rap Genius On Snapchat: It’s Just ‘Some Fad Dickpic App’
The guys at Rap Genius are up to their old profanity-laden antics, this time at the expense of Snapchat.
CNET reported that it’s used to send about 400 million photos and videos each day, all of which disappear forever after just a few seconds, or maybe not.
When Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg offered to buy Snapchat for $3 billion earlier this month, many people thought the company’s executives were crazy to turn down the offer.
Some of the more vocal and well-known naysayers are the Yale alums who founded Rap Genius, a wiki site where users can annotate and explain lyrics of rap songs. These guys are known for stirring the pot; back in February, cofounder Mahbod Moghadam was quoted saying outlandish comments including, “Zuck can suck my dick.”
Now it seems the Rap Genius founders see Zuckerberg’s offer as more than fair. Here’s what they had to say on Facebook about Snapchat turning down the deal:
In true Rap Genius fashion, the comment is entirely over-the-top, but their fans love it. The comment, which is less than 24 hours old at the time of this writing, has 865 likes, 17 shares and 39 comments.
