Movie execs are pushing their films in all kinds of creative ways these days. The prank was to promote the movie “Devil’s Due,” which hits theaters on Jan. 17. Effective? Yes. Though it’s kinda messed up how they trick kind people into thinking they’re helping an abandoned baby and then scare the piss out of them. Gotta fill those seats somehow, I guess. Hopefully the robo-baby makes a cameo in the movie. I’d personally feel ripped off if he didn’t.
