A lot of men a lot smarter than you and me have tried and failed to figure out why women want to be with guys who treat them like shit. It’s just the way it is. Attraction is one thing, but why they stay with those guys for any length of time is a head-scratcher. They’re trying to change guys like that, tame them I guess, but they never succeed, and it’s doubtful that they really want to.

If a chick’s got a boyfriend like that, odds are she has another man in her life—the nice guy best friend who’s also madly in love with her. She cries on his shoulder every time she gets fucked around on or called a bitch, telling that poor bastard that she wishes her boyfriend was more like him.

If that sounds like you, I’ve got some bad news for you, brother. I know you’re hanging around because movies have told you that one day she’ll leave that son of a bitch and the two of you will live happily ever after, but it ain’t going to happen. If she does leave him, odds are, she’s going to find someone else almost exactly like him and you’ll stay just where you are. Get off her string and move on.

The nice guy and the asshole. It’s the female equivalent of our “virgin and the whore” thing. It would be nice if you could have both at the same time, but it’s not very realistic.

I once dated this girl for like four months for no other reason than because she had the greatest ass I had ever been behind in my entire life and was a hell of a lot of fun in the sack. She was dumb as a box of rocks and crazy as a bag of weasels, but I told myself she had her good qualities, too. For example, she also had a decent rack.

After a while, I couldn’t kid myself anymore and I had to end it. She screamed at me for about an hour and keyed my car on her way out. I didn’t cry about it, though. I was letting my dick call the shots, and that’s what happened. I knew what I was getting into and deserved the consequences.

Most guys know that the girl with the beautiful face and the perfect body who fucks like a wildcat is probably not going to be marriage material. So we’re willing to weigh what’s most important to us and make some sacrifices here and there. Would we rather have a blowjob queen, or a great cook? A woman who supports us in everything we do and drives us to be the best man we can be, or a chick with thin ankles? It’s a choice.

But most women want everything. Worse, they want everything and think they can actually have it. But there are no nice assholes out there, ladies. It just doesn’t work that way.

So, fellas, whichever you are, be that proudly. Either way, she’s going to try and change you.
