‘Magic’ Bra Unhooks Only For True Love
Japanese lingerie manufacturer Ravijour has designed a bra to make women think twice before baring their breasts. The new bra stays in place until sensors detect that the wearer is in love, at which point the garment seems to fly off.
The video explains:
When excited, the adrenal medulla secretes catechlomine, which affects the automatic nerve, and stimulates the heart rate. A built-in sensor reads the woman’s heart-rate signal and sends it to a special app via Bluetooth for analysis. The app then calculates the True Love Rate based on changes in the heart rate over time. When the True Love Rate exceeds a certain value, the bra hook is opened automatically.
The video assures us with a graph that the bra is smart enough to differentiate between heart rate increases due to true love and increases from, say, jogging.
But there are still some obvious questions. Like how does a woman put it on in the first place or take it off when she’s alone? If she’s having dinner at a fancy restaurant with her true love, is her bra going to suddenly come undone when her date starts flirting? Does Ravijour really think women can’t manage to keep their undergarments on without a virtual lock and key?
