The only thing that would be more entertaining than watching a startup pitch their ludicrous idea to investors is seeing a startup pitch its ludicrous idea to investors… and get funded.

We doubt it will happen to these pranksters, but it’s still pretty entertaining.

The video shows two jokers pitching a fake startup called Coyote to real investors.

It’s a little non-traditional,” says one “founder,” Alex Mann. “It’s software to help immigrants in Mexico cross the border more successfully. It’s a huge market for the immigrants that have smartphones.”

Mann compares Coyote to a car radar that detects police when they’re nearby. To demonstrate their point, they get up and pretend chase each other to illustrate Coyote’s capabilities to warn Mexican border-hoppers of when patrol officers are near. Both investors laugh, but still can’t seem to believe what they’re hearing.

The radar looks at the speed and the size of the person that’s in the 5-10 mile radius and gives you a recommended action,” says Mann.

When the investor asks about immigrant officials cracking down on the app, which wouldn’t be available for iTunes, Mann explains that a lot of bribing would be involved.

The investors don’t look too convinced.

Alex Mann is a New York-based writer and comedian. He created the web series “Startup Diaries,” about two guys trying to start a company. Mann says it’s been described as “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” meets “The Social Network.”
